Rx Orbax (orbifloxacin) Oral Suspension for Dogs & Cats
ORBAX Oral Suspension is a prescription antibacterial medication used for the treatment of specific bacterial infections in dogs and cats. It contains orbifloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Dog Indications:
ORBAX Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of:
- Urinary tract infections (cystitis) caused by susceptible strains of:
- Staphylococcus pseudintermedius
- Proteus mirabilis
- Escherichia coli
- Enterococcus faecalis
- Skin and soft tissue infections (wounds and abscesses) caused by susceptible strains of:
- Staphylococcus pseudintermedius
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Coagulase positive staphylococci
- Pasteurella multocida
- Proteus mirabilis
- Pseudomonas spp.
- Klebsiella pneumoniae
- Escherichia coli
- Enterobacter spp.
- Citrobacter spp.
- Enterococcus faecalis
- -hemolytic streptococci (Group G)
- Streptococcus equisimilis
Cat Indications:
ORBAX Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of skin infections (wounds and abscesses) caused by susceptible strains of:
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Escherichia coli
- Pasteurella multocida
