Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia Vaccine Killed Virus
TruFel HC2P is a feline combination vaccine used for the subcutaneous vaccination of healthy cats 8 weeks of age or older. It helps prevent feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR), feline calicivirus (FCV), and feline panleukopenia virus (FPV). The vaccine includes a strain of feline calicivirus isolated during a hemorrhagic outbreak in 1998, shown to protect against hemorrhagic calicivirus disease in controlled studies.

Diseases Prevented
- Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR) Caused by Feline herpesvirus type 1; leads to severe upper respiratory tract infection, symptoms include sneezing, nasal discharge, eye inflammation, and fever.
- Feline Calicivirus (FCV) Causes oral ulcers, respiratory symptoms, fever, and sometimes lameness. TruFel HC2P protects against both traditional and hemorrhagic strains.
- Feline Panleukopenia (FPV) Also known as feline distemper. Leads to vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, immune suppression, and high mortality in kittens.
Dosage and Administration:
- Shake well before use
- Inject 1 mL subcutaneously using aseptic technique
- Repeat in 3 to 4 weeks
- Final dose should not be administered earlier than 16 weeks of age
- Annual revaccination has been historically recommended, but consult your veterinarian for guidance

Cautions and Warnings:
- For animal use only
- Do not vaccinate pregnant queens
- Store in the dark at 2C to 8C (35F to 46F). Do not freeze
- Use entire contents when opened
- Do not mix with other products unless specified
- In case of anaphylactic reaction, administer epinephrine
- Preservatives include thimerosal, neomycin, polymyxin B, and amphotericin B
